Worst stay at Holiday Inn...

Liked: This was the worst experience, and Stay I have ever had with the IHG Group and especially Holiday Inn Express
Disliked: I did not like the fact that we had to deal with a room that was not cleaned properly, Rust around the bathroom door frame, moldlike substance in the bathroom shower. Rusty shower door frame, A Clearly cut safety lock at the entry door. When we checked in, we were told this was a 3-star hotel, and that is why we had to pay $9 for breakfast. This Hotel is Not even a 1 start. Then when we walked to the room, the wallpaper in the hall was peeling from the wall. The Room was dirty, the front door lock was clearly cut by a bolt cutter, and the bathroom entry door was all rusty inside, the shower had a moldlike substance, the caulking was dirty, the shower door was all dirty and rusty. When I informed the hotel desk of our room in the morning, after our 9-hour drive, the person asked why we didn't ask for another room. That is not our job to perform quality control on our room. It is the Hotels Duty to perform routine maintenance and cleaning. Walk your property and see for yourselves. The Hotel must have had known the condition of the room, or at least the lock, seeing the lock was cut by a bolt cutter. The maid's office was a couple doors down, clearly, they should know what the condition of these rooms are and how bad they are. This is not for paying customers to report deficiencies in your hotel room, you have staff for that. We deserve to have rooms that meet basic cleanliness and maintenance hotel standards. This is not a nice place to stay. See attached pictures of just some of the health issues, and concerns we had during our 1 night ONLY Stay
