Liked: Breakfast was delicious. Location was lovely, the garden is beautiful. Jerry and KJoanne were so friendly and welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Liked: This is our second stay here. It's a lovely relaxing place to visit. JoAnne & Gerry are so friendly & welcoming. The bed is comfy, breakfast delicious & the location is convenient. What more can you ask for.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

The most comfortable and tranquil...

Liked: The Hill is, without a doubt, the best B&B I have ever stayed at in the UK. Every detail, from the decor in the common areas to the rooms (special mention to the softest bed and pillows), bathroom, and amenities, was meticulously thought out—full credit to Jo and Jerry, the kindest and warmest hosts. I cherished my time sitting by the window seat in the Iris Room, enjoying the serene view of the meadow with horses—perfect for unwinding with a book.The garden at the front is a tranquil spot, ideal for relaxing and taking in the fresh air. The location is also fantastic, with a bus stop just outside and Windermere Station within walking distance for those who want to soak in the surrounding beauty. Jo’s homemade hot breakfasts quickly became a highlight of my mornings, and I already miss them!I will definitely be returning, as both The Hill and the Lake District are perfect for a nature retreat.

Liked: Jo and Jerry are fantastic hosts. Had a lovely stay at The Hill. Wonderful filling breakfast; cosy warm room; nice hot shower; convenient bus stop is outside the house. Lovely breakfast conservation with the hosts. Highly recommended.
Disliked: Not applicable in this case. All was fantastic.

It ticked all the boxes

Liked: Our Hosts were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The Breakfast was fantastic and the rural location was on a regular bus route, Bus stop across the road. A great two day break.
Disliked: The free on site parking was restricted

Lovely stay in an excellent...

Liked: We stayed in the Iris room, the bed was so comfy, the facilities were clean, and the breakfast was yummy. Gerry was very nice to chat to over breakfast and very knowledgeable about the history of the lakes! We certainly learned a thing or two about Beatrix Potter. Thank you.
