Will probably be better when...
Liked: Bed was comfortable, though the fabric on the bed frame was tattered and falling off. Shower worked well after it was fixed and other amenities worked well.
Disliked: Massive construction happening, but we weren't warned until we were checking in, at which point, it was nighttime and too late to change. Construction went from 8am to 5pm.Pull the lever to turn the shower on from tub setting and it came off in my hand. Not a big deal because they fixed it. Though I had to wait until night time to shower because of this. The lamp wasn't working properly on my wife's side of the bed.

Liked: The location was great and I appreciated the courtesy of the doorman. The lobby is very pretty with ample places to sit. There is a lot of space to move around and the water features and deco are very soothing.
Disliked: There were no drawers for storage of clothes, several areas needed more maintenance: example: some of the flooring was very worn and should have been replaced. There needed to be an area to purchase toiletries, snacks, and/or a gift shop. The parking was extremely expensive.

Disappointed. No one at the...
Liked: I like the idea of upgrading an olderHotel but there needs to be better upkeep. The sofas in main floor have torn corners, all the brass needs brass polish. The carpets need to be cleaned often as I saw at least 20 dogs at hotel during tornado weekend. There is no gift shop or coffee shop. Not sure if there was a business office workspace. Only stayed 1 night because SOuthwest cancelled my second flight due to weather. As I was trying to find a hotel, the plane pulled away from gate and I had to just complete the booking without getting to read the terms. I would have chosen a lesser hotel had I had time to research as I only needed it for the night. I could not even get points, upgrade or any discounts as I went through your service. $268 for the room was overpriced for what you offer. The new Curio in Scottsdale is a better offer. I was a travel agent for 11 years on the north shore of Chicago and had many wealthy and demanding customersAnd they would not have considered this 4 starother than The Knives restaurant and the fact that it is located in Highland Park, GA the 2 high points. I could not even get a late checkout as all those rooms were taken. After 7 hours on the ground in Birmingham, having to walk a mile to get an Uber with 2 large bags, a carryon and my purse, I needed a senior discount and not a $7 bottle of water in the room for a one night stay. Please consider changing the rate on what I already paid. I had just come from ALoft in Birmingham for 6 nights where there was a free coffee in the lobby, cold orange ir lemon water. Small sample toiletries, a lobby bar, pool table, fair pricedCoffee shop, free literature to read up on city and very friendly staff. Your check in staff was very harried, granted a bad weather situation. One must take into consideration that the guest has had a very trying day and still should see a welcoming face. I would appreciate it if you could consider a credit even for a one night stay.Thank you. Carole Cohen
Disliked: I already stated. More staff on duty in crisis, even the manager should have been called.
