Avoid the swimming pool

Disliked: The swimming pool water on the roof top was filthy. I asked that to be cleaned and was reassured it would have been cleaned the day after, but nothing happened. Poor management

Disliked: When we arrived we couldn’t check in till 6:00 pm when we checked in. They gave us a room on the fourth floor when open in the room. My 14 year year-old son was confronted with a naked woman coming out of the shower. This room had already been allocated to this lady, we went to reception and complained. They tried to put us in a room that was at the side of the hotel where all the construction work was being held. I said no so then they took us to a room at the side of the hotel again, which was a bit further away from the construction, but nevertheless when you went out on the balcony, all you could hear was hydraulic drilling When when we came to check out checkout was 11 am at 10:30 we were hounded by the maid asking where we checking out we said yes but we understood that it was 11 am. She said yes and went away 10 minutes later. We received a knock at the door which was the head housekeeper asking if we were vacating the room I replied yes if you could just give us 10 minutes, we will be out by the given time at 11 am I reminded the hotel that when was meant to be 3 pm we did not get checked in till 6 pm at night so they could be a little more courteous and give us a little extra time. We were also overcharged on tips and gratitude they tried charging us £119 which I asked them to refund me £40 of that back, they said they were going to do it as of yet we have not received it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Liked: The beach is right across the street
Disliked: Would have preferred a higher floor

Liked: Clean and tidy and well located to the Gulf of Mexico sea front and beach.
Disliked: Construction works were ongoing on adjacent property which were noisy and spoilt the views from the balcony. Fire alarm went off for nearly 30 mins at around 9:30 - 10pm and residents were advised not to evacuate. Rooms are quite small if in family of 4 or 5.

Disliked: The manager told me that the owners are hiding the fact that this hotel is next to a large building site because they know this will put people off. Our room was facing this! I wouldn’t have booked if I’d have known!

Liked: Love this property. Second time staying in three months. Boutique. Love the bar and restaurant. Perfect for a weekend getaway
Disliked: TV was not good -- the picture would not stay clear.
