A beautiful inn that offers...

Liked: The Heartwood is amazing! This top notch, brand new property is located right across the street from the beautiful campus of Vassar College. The inn is tastefully decorated and creates a warm ambience as soon as you walk in. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped for a pleasant stay. Dining at The Salt Line restaurant was excellent with delicious food and great service. This is our new go to location in Poughkeepsie. We will be back!

Beautiful new hotel in great...

Liked: Beautiful stylish hotel in great location. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely . Opposite Vassar college and its beautiful grounds and within walking distance to cafes and restaurants .
Disliked: The breakfast is a continental breakfast which would be fine but it’s actually pretty poor . Extremely limited selection only small croissants and oatmeal and finely chopped fruit . I would like to see toast/ bagel options with butter and selection of spreads plus a range of breakfast cereal and fruit bowl.

Liked: location, nice new facility, great staff
Disliked: came into the room and although the beds were made, there was a dirty coffee pod in the sink, sink was clogged, there was no information about the hotel in the room, there was no water, there were no tea bags, the illy coffee maker didn’t work. second day dirty cups were not cleaned, replacement coffee maker did not work
