Great stay with family

Liked: Room 5 & 10 were great. Room 5 has more than enough space for a family of 4. Double bed and double sofa bed with separate chairs and still plenty of space - no feelings of over crowding, great for kids. Friendly staff, spotless, great location. Can hear the trains but part of the 'experience'. Family friendly, kids loved it, food was also great. Definitely would stay again.

Disliked: Room 2...you could here noise most of the night...and the people in room 1 decided to have a loud conversation in hallway at 730am

Everything we needed for this...

Liked: The young waitress in the dining room in the evening was very efficient and friendly. We also had a family meal for a special occasion today in a private dining room. Claire, our waitress was absolutely excellent. It was lovely to have a private area as this was an emotional time for the family so privacy was appreciated. Claire made sure that we had everything we needed. Thank you.
Disliked: We lost tv signal in our room but we weren’t in the room long enough for it to be a real problem and we could have reported it if it had been an issue.

Disliked: noise of the trains

A great location and walkable...

Liked: Driving from the Highlands we wanted a change of pace for a short stay on our way out of country. South Queensferry is quaint and idyllic! I think like most guests, we were expecting to be met with a little hospitality. The two young ladies who met us at check-in from behind the bar were less than hospitable. I would dare say they wanted nothing to do with us outside of handing the keys over. The room and breakfast were pre-paid, there was no information given about the Inn, the location, anything nearby, the restaurant/bar inside the Inn, parking for a car (we happened to find and park on our own but needed to register on their platform to ensure its validity), etc. We spent the day/evening outside of the Inn and had a wonderful time visiting local shops and bars. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and we were met with a wonderful hostess who was kind and warm. Overall we would definitely return in hopes that our second trip was a little sweeter than the first.
