Liked: staff are wonderful friendly, helpful, courteousfood was delicious
Disliked: quite expensive we were travelling with elderly parents, the stairs to upstairs rooms were very difficult for them - the booking website should make this clearerAlso my parents trhey couldnt get into the showers upstairs as they are a bath with shower head and they couldnt step over the bath sidealso myself and son are over 6ft and the upstairs showers were difficult to use due to no headroom

Pleasant, but not memorable.

Liked: Room seemed well used and only ok for a one night stop-over. Service was pleasant, but slow. The menu promised more than it delivered. Breakfast at £30 for two in addition to the room rate was a bit much but the breakfast was good.
Disliked: It wasn’t specified that we needed to pay for the room and evening meal before we went back to our room and to be followed back, with a knock on the door to ask us to pay before we went to bed was a surprise. We refused and paid before leaving the next morning.

Liked: I have stayed here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The location is excellent, easily accessible from the major routes making it an ideal base from which to explore the local area. The room was compact but well appointed with a decent sized bathroom and plenty of tea and coffee making amenities provided. Good choice of options provided at breakfast.
