One of the oldest hotels in Wales The Hand in Chirk was built in 1610 and offers traditional charm and period features. There is a restaurant bar free Wi-Fi and free parking. All the bedrooms at The Hand Hotel have been thoughtfully decorated and have private bathrooms with a hairdryer. Guests can also benefit from tea/coffee and ironing facilities in each room. Liked: Breakfast downstairs area. Staff were considerate
Disliked: Tired bedrooms and very tired bathrooms. Room we were in next to the boiler very hot all night even with fan and windows on and open.

Nice but wouldn't return

Liked: Comfortable sitting areas. Open fire.
Disliked: Staff too busy to help you. Reception often empty . No warm welcome. No time to talk to you on arrival or departure. Payment taken on arrival.

Enjoyed our short stay. Will...

Liked: Breakfast was very good. Location was ideal in the centre of the village. Quite overlooked the back garden.
Disliked: Room requires decorating. Mattress needs replacing.
