1 night stay

Liked: Quiet large room. Dog friendly.Breakfast was okay and service with a smile. Car park available right near the rooms.
Disliked: No one available on reception when we arrived, waited 15 mins to book in. Slow service in evening, over an hour for our meal. 1 vegan Meal was poor, supposed to be moussaka, but no sauce and no sign of aubergine either. Staff did apologise but better care in the kitchen would have prevented a poor dish being sent out. It was busy as the restaurant was full, so maybe not enough staff available to cope. .

Very comfortable room. Good value...

Liked: Well equipped, comfortable and quiet room. Very good.
Disliked: Both of our breakfasts on the first day were barely warm. No 'Breakfast Buffet' was on offer. Had to ask for orange juice. Evening meals the same day were also cold. Meagre portions for the money paid. In contrast, breakfast on day 2 was excellent ( and hot). Breakfast buffet available day 2.

Great location for Queen Elizabeth...

Liked: Liked the location - we are Park Runners and came to gain a Q for the alphabet challenge at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park
Disliked: Water not hot enough for a bath. Ran a bath Friday evening - water was disappointingly luke warm. Was advised to give it 20 to 30 minutes for the boiler to heat some more water. Fell asleep by then. In the morning after our PR and breakfast tried to run a bath once again - water luke warm. Shower was however ok. We tried to run a bath Saturday evening with no joy on the third attempt.Breakfast seemed a little understaffed - we asked for coffee with our breakfast and an additional expresso - recieved neither during the time it took to eat our breakfast. Cancelled the expresso - coffee arrived in small cafetiere - not hot and about half a mug each. Husband left the table in disgust.

Just what we were looking...

Liked: This was a perfect location for us as we wanted somewhere outside of Portsmouth on the way to Heathrow. We had dinner on the evening and the couple that were working were covering so that the regular staff could have their Christmas party and these 2 (sorry don’t know their names) were very helpful, police and friendly.
Disliked: When we had breakfast the following day the staff member was rude, the exact opposite of the staff the night before.
