Liked: Good location for the centre of Edinburgh
Disliked: A little cold when we arrived after being out. A heater was provided but would have been better if the heating was on

Disappointing

Liked: Comfy bed, brilliant location
Disliked: Checking in, cash on arrival due to problem with the machine. No staff on site to help when there was an issue - door alarm went off at 6.30am and wasn't turned off by the time we checked out early due to the noise

Awful, unacceptable

Liked: Receptionist has been very nice helping with luggage. Location excellent
Disliked: Although I booked really in advance and got very good price I could never come back because everything was awful, dirty, very bad smell, disgusting very old bed and mattress and cannot believe how Booking.com can leave this kind of hotel on their web

Passable

Liked: Good access and close proximity to the city centre. Bed was comfortable with clean towels, soap and hair dryer provided. Also the room had a large bath and shower. Staff also carried bags for us and were very friendly.
Disliked: Television did not work throughout the visit despite reporting it numerous times nd being told it would be fixed. Staff offered us a swap of rooms on the last day which was not ideal. No lift facilities for upstairs rooms.

Comfy beds and good price...

Liked: Beds were comfy and clean...room plenty big enough for 3 of us Extremely good price for Edinburgh and shops/amenities in walking distance .Staff from what we saw were polite and helped with luggage Very close to haymarket train station.
Disliked: We came back one day and house keeper had propped our door open and left it open and half cleaned . Luckily our valuables were still there. There's alot of stairs to carry your luggage up if your on top floor
