Beware

Liked: Location was good for my needs. The person in staff was friendly and helpful on the face of things, when they could be found.
Disliked: the bed in my first room was so soft I practically hit the floor when I sat down and could not sleep on it. Asked to change rooms the next day, the second one offered the bed was the same. The next room taken was dirty so I got the wipes out and cleaned up a bit, though the sheet was dirty and had much harder beds, too hard but at least I could sleep. Until I discovered bed bugs.The hotel refused to answer my messages and calls, did not acknowledge the issues. I got booking dot Com involved and they said all the right things on the phone (once I was able to get ahold of someone) but have done nothing to actually help or resolve the situation. I had to pay for another place to stay and and am still trying to get a refund or even an acknowledgement front the hotel that they've done anything to get rid of the bugs

Liked: Very close to town. Easy routes in and out of the city. Perfect location

Pleasant, convenient and affordable, but...

Liked: The hotel is in a great location for accessing the tram or bus to the airport for early flights, and is competitively priced when doing so. The staff are very welcoming.
Disliked: The facilities are dated, with serious staining on the cornicing and a shower head that had to be held the whole time as the wall mounting unit self-destructed when you touched it. The mattress had been covered in a thin sheet of foam that made it very hard to get comfortable and the walls were noticeably half painted in one type of paint, with a strong line half way up. Overall, it just needs investment and maintenance, with attention to detail.

I really liked my room...

Liked: I stayed in the suite and enjoyed the view out the large windows. I was also allowed to leave my luggage and return for it later - even after I had checked out, a super helpful feature!

Disappointing

Liked: The location was perfect for haymarket train station. Staff were very nice
Disliked: Unfortunately due to the location the hotel is on the main road therefore traffic noise throughout the night was horrendous also people leaving the pubs etc, this resulted in a very poor sleep for myself and grandson

Liked: Excellent location and helpful staff.
Disliked: Emails before stay made clear that payment would need to be made in cash - this was fine. However, after checking out Booking.com had notification of a 'no-show' from hotel and were going to charge my card for the full price again. Luckily I had reciept - perhaps a genuine mistake but do get a reciept if paying cash.
