Liked: Staff were pleasant. Room was clean. En suite was adequate. We chose purely on location as the pub is very near the care home where my father now lives. Sadly our visit was a disaster.
Disliked: The room was very small, definitely not suitable as a double. The main issue was the appalling mattress! It was fit only for the skip and was so uncomfortable that neither my husband nor myself slept at all! Consequently we booked out and into a Travelodge for the remainder of our stay. I contacted the pub to tell them why we had checked out early and they apologised and said we could have asked for a different room. However, due to the extremely poor mattress they thought was acceptable in room 2 we couldn’t risk yet another sleepless night in another room.
