Liked: Food was lovely and plenty of it. Nice grounds and plenty of parking. Lovely staff.Bed not very comfortable and en suite is more like a cupboard. Very cramped.

Amazing food and brilliant staff....

Liked: Excellent customer service and both meals were fantastic. Room was very clean and bed comfortable.
Disliked: Just a slight niggle that the room was really hot and the window wouldn’t open very much so couldn’t really sleep very well. Plus neither bedside lights were working.

Stay was pleasant enough but...

Liked: Location is near the town of Wigton. The price is very competitive compared to other local hotels and the restaurant menu is good. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Always plenty of parking spaces on site.
Disliked: It feels rather dated not. I have been coming here for the last 2-3 years and already feels like its in need of modernising. The Wi-Fi was rather slow on the most recent visit and did not experience this previously.

Grandeur, very friendly staff, great...

Liked: Very generous serving of breakfast... nice setting and location for hotel..I also had an evening meal which was excellent, my dog Remus was able to remain by my side...
Disliked: A house of grandeur + 200 years, slightly showing its age but nonetheless a worthwhile experience
