Liked: Beautiful location, handy for walking Hadrian's wall. The staff were super friendly & very attentive. Brilliant to have a separate vegan menu,with imaginative dishes.

Great food and stay in...

Liked: Good location on the Pennine Way, comfortable and clean rooms above a very nice pub which served good food. Chocolates in the room a nice touch and Packed lunch option very appreciated

Welcoming hotel in a good...

Liked: Hotel is in a good location, especially for walking or visiting Hadrian's Wall. Some of our group arrived early and were immediately made most welcome. The rooms were large and had very good facilities for walkers, with many drying facilities. The public rooms were very good and welcoming to dogs. The evening meal was high quality and included some unusual items on the menu. The breakfast was cooked to order and was good.
Disliked: Although the cooked breakfast was good, other elements - juice etc were disappointing.
