Quaint village location with access...

Liked: Liked decor of room and had a wonderful shower
Disliked: We had mentioned birthday and reception hinted something was in room. Next day I mentioned this and they were surprised that I hadn’t found anything and said they would put something in that day but nothing came. Bit disappointing.Fridge nice facility in room but had to turn off as so noisy to try and sleep.

Comfortable and enjoyable

Liked: Stayed overnight as at The Mill Sonning for dinner/theatre. We spent an enjoyable evening in lounge with snacks/drinks from bar. Did not have breakfast this time as it was poor last time we were here. Otherwise all was ok.
Disliked: As above - no breakfast as not good on last visit.

Superb

Liked: We had a beautiful room with a river view and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Coffee and tea making facilities plus fridge in room. A Nespresso machine would be a welcome addition.
Disliked: Hotel rooms were excellent. Maybe we were there at a bad time (between Xmas and new year). The bar/restaurant area was obviously very understaffed or badly managed. On the afternoon we left half the bar area was full of uncleared, dirty tables. I counted about 8/9 just around where we were sitting. We were there for over an hour and not a single table was cleared, despite staff walking past them numerous times. Such a shame as it ruins the ambience of an otherwise lovely space with pretty good food.

Disliked: The Breakfast was a little pricey.
