Golf stop off

Liked: Stayed here while on a golf trip. Not far from courses and M4, village location. Welcoming staff and nice bar and garden. Lovely dining room and excellent food. Room decor tired but excellent new shower room. Would come again.

A beautiful hotel beautifully restored...

Liked: Breakfast was good amd the hotel is a fascinating building but I had to go on line to a local historian to gain information about is history; there was nothing available in the hotel which is such a shame.
Disliked: The 1st bedroom allocated to me was not clean - dirty dressing gown, broken kettle, bedside tables sloped and incapable of holding a cup of tea; dirty phone, unclean windowsill. Another bedroom was provided upon request. Bedroom was not serviced whilst out for the day and returned to unmade bed, etc.Dinner was not cooked properly and the service from the staff was poor, grudging and not in the least professional. Such a dissapointment which rather spoilt my weekend away.

Liked: The place is beautiful the food is amazing the only downside was the small rooms above the function room didn’t match the age of the house and the staff moving/dragging the tables late at night woke us up.
