Exceptional

Liked: They made us feel comfortable when we felt we may have booked a hotel outside our usual level of accommodation. (Aka, fancier than usual.)Also, breakfast was amazing.

Excellent

Liked: We missed the free drink and socializing in the great room as we got in kind of late next time going to be there early to enjoy the fun times downstairs. The breakfast was amazing the room was nice and clean. We booked the upstairs Suite with the hot tub in the room it was awesome.
Disliked: I want to be able to stop in there on the way home some night and have a drink with who's ever staying it would be nice

Cozy & quaint

Liked: The aesthetic is very English darling pub/B & B in the best way. Very cozy and aesthetic. Plus our rolm was HUGE. Sitting space separate from the bedroom with a tv in each space.
Disliked: Our mattress was quite far from the headboard so my pillows kept getting lost in the crack. I finally wised up my second night and asked for a second set of pillows.

Nice location in Charlottetown

Liked: Breakfast was really good and filling- lots of choices . Staff were very helpful. Guided tour of hotel and precinct was really informative. Hotel is very well located. Parking was included.
Disliked: We didn't know we had been booked in a room dominated by a spa we would never use.

Lovely place to stay and...

Liked: The Great Gorge has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a great location. Having a quiet drink in the lounge with other guests really adds to the feeling of being spoilt on holidays. Breakfasts are good and ideally located to get something for dinner, with the restaurants nearby still serving to quite late. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

I wanted to love it....

Liked: The property was very clean and well located. Up to date furnishings etc.
Disliked: Our room was located over the kitchen prep area. The staff prepared food either for themselves or the next morning breakfast not sure but the odor of garlic and food plus the heat that was generated made our room extremely uncomfortable. I was unable to sleep much at all the second night between the heat smell and noise. We had the windows wide open. When I mentioned this to staff they gifted me a $25 food gift card for restaurants that we could not use as we were heading home and also not interested in those particular establishments.

Liked: .Great staff. Wonderful breakfast. Staff even gave me a couple of the recipes when I asked. Heated floor tiles in the bathroom. Comfy beds. Beautiful property and we had fun walking around the historic area. Would come back in a heartbeat.
Disliked: Could use new carpet in the room.
