Luxury stay in a fantastic...

Liked: Beautiful setting and perfect location for walking into York. Staff couldn't do enough for you, so pleasant and helpful, from taking bags to the room to giving us directions. Pool was lovely and very quiet in the morning at 9am. Lovely touch of birthday chocolates in the room on arrival. Really made a special birthday even more special! Huge thanks.
Disliked: We parked over the road at Tanner Row car park, was quite expensive for 24 hr stay although understand the Grand doesnt have its own parking.

We enjoyed our stay.

Liked: All the staff were excellent well trained and professionalLocation perfect. Enjoyed the music in the bar area in the evening.The taps in our room were very unusual and we had to ask how to work them.
Disliked: The service on our first night in the restaurant was very very slow. We arrived at 7.30pm and our second course came at 8.45pm.I ordered duck leg but got chicken. The duck was not five star standard. The second night was much better.
