Almost perfect

Liked: Just perfect! The cleanliness of the room. Beds very comfy. Beautiful shower. Very well located in Auckland.
Disliked: 1 elevator was broken. Sometimes, waiting was long. Lightning's buttons in the room were not very intuitive. Needed to tap all of them to turn on/off...

Top quality hotel in a...

Liked: Location was excellent, right next to Sky Tower and has two top experiences in floors of the hotel. On approaching the front and reception areas was very impressive and luxurious. Laundry services and concierge were very helpful. Breakfast choice was incredible with a large choice of standard - full English, full continental, cold meats platters, fresh yoghurts, omelette station, but also included fried rice and noodles every morning and dim sum on one occasion.
Disliked: Maintenance work being undertaken was very loud (especially when by the lifts) and meant that sometimes only 2 lifts was available. Lack of shared space (outside the bedroom) to sit, chat and get a coffee with friends except in reception which was very busy and therefore too loud to sit and linger in. Reception seemed always to have a queue. The second entrance via Albert St was sometimes open sometimes locked (not accessible via our room key). Swimming pool and gym were un-supervised which meant on my stay kids were running around and playing with the equipment whilst you trained and a family had decamped in the pool area having a picnic - beach was only 15 mins away!.
