Liked: Good rooms and facilities but we were asked to leave an area because we only wanted a drink even we were residents when the hotel has an very large separate restaurant

Liked: The room was comfortable and offered an excellent view. I was upgraded to a sea view King-sized room for only £20 a day or two before my stay. The breakfast was superb, which included fresh smoked salmon and vegetarian sausages (kept well away from the pork version). Very nice staff at breakfast, especially the woman making fresh omelettes. I wasn't able to explore the facilities as my focus was on a funeral at the local crematorium.
Disliked: I would've liked a window that opened. However, not a huge deal. Not keen on a 4pm check-in (3pm would be better), especially as it means a rush to do so. Nevertheless, the wait was not long and the receptionist was friendly and helpful

A Grand stay.
Liked: The atmosphere was very good and welcoming, all contact with the staff was a positive experience. The room was very comfortable and clean.
Disliked: I was not aware of leaving a deposit for the stay, which was optional.Had it been mentioned in the confirmation booking, I would not have felt pressure to decide on the spot.

Great rooms, excellent location.
Liked: Rooms were clean and recently refurbished. I had one issue (broken aircon) and the staff were excellent.
Disliked: Carpets were threadbare in places. Some communal areas needed a lick of paint.
