Established in 1892 The Gore London - Starhotels Collezione is a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of South Kensington offering 50 lavishly-appointed bedrooms packed with history. Free WiFi is available. All the rooms at The Gore are individually furnished with hand-picked pieces period pictures and ornate feature beds as well as offering Wi-Fi access and flat-screen TVs. Bed linen dressing gowns and towels come from Italian luxury linens specialist Frette. Many of the rooms are marked by vivid colors ornate gilded mirrors oak-carved four-poster beds and other individual pieces of antique furniture. The Gore's on-site restaurant delivers classic British cuisine. The Bar 190 is best known as the location for the launch and photoshoot for The Rolling Stones' 1968 album Beggars Banquet and offers an extensive range of spirits with notably large collections of whiskeys and rums. Just a short walk from Kensington Palace Hyde Park the Natural History Museum the Science Museum Victoria and Albert Museum Harrods and the chic designer boutiques of Knightsbridge. The shopping theaters sightseeing and nightlife of the West End are just 10 minutes away by bus or Tube.

Very good

Liked: Location, old time feel.
Disliked: Very, very small room which, for £200 odd quid, didn’t seem like the best deal.

Would definitely come again but...

Liked: Very interesting
Disliked: We had a very poor view from the window and a dreadful noise started about2.30am , lasted about one hour,couldn’t figure out what it was sounded like barrels being rolled and really loud!

Great location for the Albert...

Liked: Location is all dependant on where you are going or what you have planned.Our trip was for a show in the nearby Royal Albert Hall. Just a 3-5 minute walk away and can be seen from the hotel.
Disliked: We had a slight issue with a ember of staff from the bar 190 which needs to be addressed. The hotel staff we very welcoming. Antoher option for pillow firmness would have been nice. the pillows were very thin and soft, comfortable but had to re-adjust for personal liking.
