Great staff, tiny rooms, LOUD...

Liked: The staff were fantastic and welcoming. The gym was well equipped with a cable machine, dumbells and kettlebells. The bar was tiny but service was good.
Disliked: Air conditioning in the room barely worked. The rooms were tiny - no desk, no room for a suitcase barely. I asked for a quiet room, and was put on third floor, awake all night with the sound of traffic and the air conditioning unit outside. If the hotel was in a better location or had sound proofing it would be fine but given the noise from traffic all night and the tiny rooms - would have to say avoid.

Hidden fees charged AFTER stay.

Liked: The staff are amazing and very kind. The room is clean and comfortable for the most part.
Disliked: I didn't like that you pay for the room upfront and suddenly when you're there, you're paying 160$ extra in fees and taxes. We paid 350$ for the room for 2 nights and 260$ was charged after for fees and parking. Parking is 50/day but 160$ in fees ON top of what we paid? It was not disclosed that we would be paying anything other than city taxes and instead they charged us amenity fees and service fees. The hidden fees really left a bad taste in my mouth and I would not recommend for that reason as it feels predatory. The little things we didn't like were the pillows and that there was no hooks in the entire room except for one in the bathroom that 1 bathrobe was on. It was also weird there was only 1 bathrobe for a room with 2 people. Furthermore, it's weird they charge city tax on cars for overnight guests but not public parking, as in, the sign states "visitor parking is 50$/overnight and hotel guest is 50$/overnight + city tax". Just odd to me that you're not really inventivizing paying guests to want to stay there. Furthermore, the hot water sucks. Our showers were lukewarm for the most part. I had one semi hot shower that did not last. Also, the rooftop bar wasn't even open and that wasnt disclosed to us until check-in so... paying an amenity fee for... nothing?
