Liked: Everything felt fairly clean.Free standing bath was nice.Breakfast was fine. Friendly faces.
Disliked: Hoping this feedback might help this hotel to make some changes and slightly up their game.We reserved a couple of our coastal path walk nights to staying in 'nicer places' with a reasonable price tag. The price of this room is not on par with other similar priced lovely hotels in Pembrokeshire. On arrival there was no reception per se - although we were met with a friendly face there was a whiteboard scribbled with notes for our stay - I know this isn't a big deal but it did scream hostel not any level of 'nice' hotel. It all just felt tired and like it was riding on the coat tails of perhaps 'being the only hotel in the area' or once being popular. I'm sure it is always booked out and Angle is a key place to stay along the coast path so it feels easy but I wouldn't look forward to this stay. The room was nice enough, bed linen wasn't of a quality you might expect but fine. There were some repairs and maybe a bit of finesse required - broken bits of doors. The furniture was a mash of styles but trying to pass as elegant. I don't normally like to write like this but I think it needs some refining to not feel like you are just staying at an elderly aunts house. It felt like we were paying for the photo of the freestanding bath by a window. It was suggested that there were lovely products on offer but they were more like ends of random bottles that didn't specify what they were.We had dinner at the Old Point House which had horrible service [a lot of friendly faces sipping their pints were confused by the rude servers] but the food was lovely and felt like they were really trying to do something exciting with local fresh produce. High recommend with a lovely view.On returning we were asked by a confused member of staff if we were checking out and who we were which again was fine but just felt a bit confused and disorganised.
