Disliked: Hot water was extremely hot. Needed a hand rail to assist in getting in and out of bath

Liked: We had a very spacious and comfortable room. Loved the high ceilings, the light fittings, and the old photos of the hotel from its early days. So much nicer to stay in a property like this instead of a cookie cutter modern hotel. Great location, minutes from the train station, and with lots of shops and cafes nearby. Very friendly staff.
Disliked: A bit of noise from the main road. As an older person, climbing into the shower over the edge of a spa bath is not ideal, but a great rain head shower was worth the climb!
