Great people, great bed, great...
Liked: I loved the old world charm of a genuine hotel combined with a great bed and spa! Having a great pub downstairs with a comprehensive menu was super convenient. Axil coffee next door for cafeine and food tops it all off.
Disliked: Nothing; just be aware it is on a main road so there is traffic in the morning.

I'd never have thought of...
Liked: Nice comfortable room and pretty quiet. Exactly the right location for our needs. Great cafe next door too. Good location for getting taxi/uber transport too. Excellent hotel staff.
Disliked: Bathroom needs a good and strong grab handle as the shower is over a spa bath. Climbing in when over 75 can be tricky. in the bathroom, some more flat space to put things on would be good! My wife struggled a bit with the steep staircase, but it is after all an 1888 hotel.

Great location when working in...
Liked: Room was very comfortable and is larger than normal hotel room. Location is very close to work so that was a positive. Plenty of other options outside the pub for meals, drinks and entertainment. CLsoe to the stations for quick access into the City/MCG. Staff at check in very helpful and explained all that was needed.
Disliked: Air con was OK in the room - seemed fan speed was always low and could have been better.

A decent stay in a...
Liked: A charming old heritage building with decent services. The bar downstairs adds to the ambiance, and the abundance of eateries nearby offers plenty of dining options. Its proximity to Glenferrie train station makes getting around convenient.
Disliked: The reception staff could be a bit more warm and welcoming, which would enhance the overall experience.
