Liked: The staff were very welcoming and friendly the room was clean lovely thick towels plenty of hot water and comfortable bed

Liked: The Indian restaurant on site was very tasty for dinner.
Disliked: Female bar staff member at night was extremely rude. Very cheeky to customers. Scottish breakfast was pathetic, undercooked & very small portions. Carpets on stairs were ripped & dirty.

Great hotel with lovely staff...

Liked: Lovely staff, amazing food, clean and comfortable room what more can you ask for. Also the best chicken pakora I've ever had!
Disliked: No bath towel but wasn't a major hassle just used hand towel to get dried with

Passable

Liked: Nice hot chocolate sachets and biscuits. When the water wasn't working for the shower the staff were very nice and sorted the problem quickly
Disliked: No WiFi in the room so couldn't do any work, the network appeared if I stood near the door but couldn't connect and then disappeared if I moved from there. Had to leave before the time breakfast started, an hour isn't a very long window from 8:30am , though I understand why it's later at the weekend

Mattress definitely needs changing asap!...

Liked: Staff were very helpful, especially May who seemed to be a lady of all trades. As I was there for one night as attending my son’s wedding the following day I had a hair appt at the one hour slot for breakfast. They kindly arranged it earlier. There was no mirror in our room suitable for me getting changed for the wedding but one was provided when I asked. May also helped carry our luggage to the car when we left for the wedding venue. She was a star!
Disliked: Worse nights sleep. I got into bed and rolled over…. Wow there was a huge dip in the mattress I felt like I was rolling down a mountain! Had back ache and really tired for the busy and long day ahead. Apparently, we were told, that was the only room that hadn’t had a new mattress
