Classy hotel, fantastic view from...

Liked: We had a brilliant room with a fantastic view of the Firth of Clyde. The meals were exceptional but unfortunately, as mentioned below, several items were off the menu throughout our stay. The staff were always friendly and helpful.
Disliked: We found the room cold - probably because it faced outside on two sides with large windows. However we asked for a space heater and Barry very kindly brought one to our room to solve the problem. The menus was restricted every night - with up to four main course items being unavailable throughout our 4 day stay. This was disappointing as we were looking forward to the venison and the lamb shank but what was supplied was of exceptional quality.

Very good

Liked: As usual the staff were friendly and efficient. Our room had a good view. There was a good choice for breakfast.
Disliked: On the Sunday the breakfast was far from hot.The restaurant menu was curtailed which was disappointing as we always look forward to the lasagne and steak which were missing.En suite needs replaced. Water is dangerous hot in the shower and basin.
