Let down by poor standards.

Liked: The waiting staff were helpful and worked hard.
Disliked: Our room was off the garden, however we were not advised that a key code was necessary to return to the hotel. The room was very tired, but not as bad as the corridor outside. In the bathroom the sink was cracked, the bath enamel chipped in many places and the shower screen allowed water to pass under, over and around. The bath was nice and big and deep, but with no rails to assist in entering or leaving. The toilet roll was unreachable from its position behind the toilet. The TV did not work and neither the receptionist, nor the employee who volunteered to help her, could understand what was wrong. The waiting staff in the restaurant were very helpful and worked very hard, but were obviously short-handed. An hour wait for the main course to arrive is too long. The "chef" at breakfast used bare hands to put items on plates and also ran his fingers through his hair!The convenient location for visiting Norwich was nullified by poor standards.

Good Location for getting into...

Liked: Good location to walk into Norwich and lots of parking available. Good sized room, both a separate shower and bath in the bathroom.Room clean, mini fridge available.Staff were very helpful
Disliked: The communal area (halls/stairs/landing) needs updating, lots of stains on carpets and walls. None of the radiators were on when I arrived so was quite cold, luckily the radiators worked once openedWent for dinner at the pub was okay. Have eaten here before and had a better meal previously

Liked: Great location. Clean and tidy. The room had everything I needed.

a beautiful hotel that needs...

Liked: The Georgian lived up to its title with classic period features and proportions, and the room had good quality soaps,shampoo and hand cream. the staff were all friendly and helpfull.
Disliked: Our room,20,had french doors onto a patio, but the doors were covered in black mould a health hazzard apart from being unsightly! As we entered the room initially the bathroom smelt of urine, something you need to aclimatize to and not really what we'd hoped for.

Liked: Pretty tastefully decorated property in excellent location.Have stayed here few times now .Staff are all lovely.Room was comfortable and warm. Price was good .
Disliked: Cleanliness wasn't good . Dirty bathroom floor and very dusty bedroom .Such a shame as it doesn't take long to flick a duster after bed change Shower was very stiff to operate and I had to ask my partner to operate for me.Toilet seat broken. Was broken last time we stayed and still not been fixed. We did stay in the same room.Limited cereals at breakfast and no muesli bananas.Maybe due to January stay and limited guestsSuch a lovely place but definitely needs attention with cleaning being a major issue.Front step to hotel was very dirty and wasn't mopped all the time we were there.We stayed 5 nights here.
