We had an awesome time.

Liked: The room was great and full of character. The pub looks stunning from outside as well as inside. The food is fabulous and the breakfast was excellent. Good choice and the chef can be seen cooking it as you wait for it.
Disliked: Loved everything about it....you can't change the weather!

Liked: The breakfast was especially good, and the location was great.
Disliked: Accommodation sold as five-star, but we did not feel that it was five-star accommodation. I requested feather pillows for my partner when booking, and this request was not met when we arrived. After the first night, we asked directly for the some feather pillows for the second night but were told there were none. I do feel this request should be possible since it was sold as five-star accommodation. Also, on the second morning, the small number of staff struggled to keep up with the demand of the guests as they arrived for their breakfast. In particular, the coffee, juice, and milk area was not being replenished quickly enough. It was obvious that quite a few guests were not happy. Cost-cutting was clearly evident, and I don't believe that works well when selling your product as five-star accommodation. In my view, this is four-star accommodation, that way people's expectations won't be as high. Definitely overpriced.Overall, the staff was very helpful and polite given difficult working constraints.

Liked: unfortunately there was an issue with the heating in the room, it was very hot despite it being end of October- the management did try to deal with the problem but was unsuccessful, they did admit to there being a problem in some rooms, they ended up giving us a fan however it was a very uncomfortable night, there was also an issue with a blocked toilet, we was booked in for two nights but checked out after just one night and found somewhere else to stay
