Disappointing

Liked: The pub and dining area of the pub was lovely and looked very well looked after
Disliked: Within the room the walls were all dirty, the window was wide open making the room absolutely freezing cold even when the window was closed it was coming through the sides a big draft. I’m almost 9 months pregnant and couldn’t stop shivering. The limescale in the bathroom was awful under the bath taps, shower taps and the sink. We had had a long day out at longleat and as stated being pregnant all I wanted to do was have some food and get into bed and relax but it was that cold it was giving me a headache and the experience was ruined. The traffic I know can’t be helped sometimes but it would’ve a little if the window had a seal on it. We ended up staying in the room an hour but after bringing me to tears about wanting to enjoy our anniversary and our last staycation before the arrival of our baby we made the decision to leave. Very dissatisfied and disappointed knowing we won’t get any money back

Good as a place to...

Liked: The staff on arrival and at breakfast were both very lovely.
Disliked: Our table at dinner was laid with dirty cutlery. Not just a bit grubby from the dishwasher but looked previously used, unwashed. Dinner was very disappointing. Room temp bearnaise sauce that was waaay too vinegary, cold grilled tomato. My husband ordered chunky chips but received skin on fries. The bed was incredibly squeaky! The slightest movement and it creaked like it wanted to come down! The bathroom window was covered in black mould around the sill. The window overlooking the entrance door did not have the same second layer of insulation meaning anyone outside having a smoke was very loud and we could hear everything they were talking about!
