Liked: the room was very basic,small and very tired,needs refurb,breakfast was good once we received it after waiting over 1 hour,lounge is lovely as are the other main rooms,also plenty of parking,great location
Disliked: they charge £25 per night for your dog,our very well behaved boxer,which is a complete rip off,then you are all treated like dogs,not allowed in the dining room,which is understandable,but theres no provision for you to sit and eat in the lounge,your expected to eat from a very low coffee table which is not easy and not acceptable at all,we also had a evening meal at a cost of over £150 for 2,again eating it,doubled up from a very low coffee table,we were told to sit in the lounge for our breakfast then forgot about for over 1 hour,finally having to call the waiter,steven the supposed head waiter,he should not be in that job,he completely blanked us for the rest of our stay making us feel uneasy,i own a 4star hotel with 2 rosettes and if any staff come over in that way they would be gone,the george needs to sort themselves out or stop having and charging for dogs,we expect some compensation.

Disliked: Too many people at times - no space in lounge areas for hotel guests as non-guests pop in for coffee & teas

Disliked: NO TEA MAKING FACILITIES IN THE ROOM! However there was concessionary tea and orange brought to the room at 8.30am also there was no information about room service or any information about the hotel or surrounding areas or fire regulations.
