Nice traditional vibe

Liked: Very convenient, nice historical building, but badly renovated. Most rooms are spacious and comfortable, soundproofing is bad…Most members of staff are lovely and the restaurant is very nice.

Liked: Very good, wish the coffee had been left on the table or told to help yourself.

A lovely hotel

Liked: Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely old building in the middle of town with parking. Dog friendly.

I would stay again even...

Liked: The kitchen extractor fan was outside my room but cut out at 9pm. The windows weren’t blacked out enough for me.The room (1) was large and so was the very comfortable bed.I like an open window but I found out I could have opened one a little when I enquired.

Liked: Comfortable bed, good coffee machine and plenty of pods, staff pleasant, parking at hotel
Disliked: uncomfortable pillow, lukewarm coffee at breakfast, overcooked breakfast, orange juice only when I asked, shower too high and couldn't adjust

a very good hotel but...

Liked: We had the best room owing to the kindness of the staff
Disliked: The restaurant was poor in every respect: the staff were forgetful and rarely present and the person in charge was unapologetic when we complained about the food - of which every item was inedible. We have eaten in thousands of restaurants and this was as far as I can remember probably the worst of the lot.
