Liked: Comfortable bed. Lovely restaurant, good food, good service. Good size room.
Disliked: Room needed work: knob missing from wardrobe, sink in bathroom had a crack in the glaze. Instructions for the coffee maker would have been useful. Noise from road to be expected but noisy in the hotel, especially one morning, very early, cannot say what the noise was but it was loud.

Simple improvements could have made...

Disliked: In the ensuite bathroom there was absolutely no where to put our toiletries - not even a shelf. No towel rail by hand basin. The shower (within bath} had only a fixed overhead shower, and not everyone wants to wash their hair. Wanted to have lunch but the dining room was so cold and service so slow, we upped and left. Anyone with mobility issues should know this is a very historic, old building and the stairs are wide and flooring uneven with heavy old bannisters. I found them hard to manage.

Liked: Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. Very clean with all the usual facilities - tea and coffee machine, TV, water, fresh milk etc.The staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. The hotel has great character. Our dinners were very good and great value and the breakfasts the best we have had in a long time. The manager and Becca were excellent. Parking also available.
Disliked: We liked it all.
