Not the best.

Liked: A very nice location
Disliked: No parking even though it said they had parking…… the bath was not a spar bath even though it was advertised as one. It also had dirty marks cut into t he bath. The shower was terrible. Breakfast was nice but the coffee was horrible.

A really pleasant night's stay...

Liked: Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and wonderful traditional items on the menu and we had a pleasant light meal the evening before with excellent service from Miles The location is a fascinating town that we shall definitely want to return to and explore.
Disliked: Nothing much.

It served my purpose, next...

Liked: Stayed here before during the summer months. Ideal location for me to see friends etc, as I used to live in Kent.
Disliked: I would not stay again in winter months, the room was freezing, very little heating, but is an old Hotel, had to sleep with a hoodie on. I have cancer and COPD so the cold isn’t ideal for my health. It was for only one night so suffered in quiet. The sever in the restaurant Miles was great.

Never go at Christmas!!!! Otherwise...

Liked: No fruit nor yoghurt on a couple of days. The Christmas lunch was very expensive (£100 without drinks) and very poor!!!The bar food at lunch was fine and the cooked part of the breakfast as well.
Disliked: Attitude of the manager. The other staff were friendly but not well trained. The bar closed at 5pm on Christmas Day and we were told to go to our roooms! Quote "It is Christmas Day after all! The staff need a rest and can't leave the lights on downstairs since otherwise people will think we are open!!!"

Superb

Liked: Nice looking hotel inside & out with car park around the back. Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely big room with big comfortable bed. Had a good night's sleep very quiet considering main road out the front. Nice evening meal without being exceptional but lovely filling breakfast in the morning . Cranbrook also is a lovely little town with lots of character, history & nice shops & restaurants. The local church is fascinating too with its historical clock and Father Time sculpture.
Disliked: Being picky the evening meal , Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pud was nice however the meat was quite fatty & Yorkshire Pudding cold. The shower was not straightforward to work but sussed it eventually.

Liked: The hotel is old and meets this current time with ease and style. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food here is lovely and nit over priced The staff were so very kind and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure we were OK. I was travelling with my 6 year old grandson and 14 year old dog
