Liked: Lovely village & traditional old pub. Staff helpful.
Disliked: Unable to sleep due to noise of creaking floorboards & voices or tv from room above as no noise insulation between floors and due to room being cold with only summer type bedding on bed in winter.Very hard to get shower to right temperature & annoying liquid soap dispenser pump fixed to shower cubicle was broken. No mugs, just tiny cups with no teapot so not possible to make decent cuppa.Decor could easily be improved at no or low cost e.g. by simply removing picture obscured by tv on a wall & remove now redundant curtain fittings, replace fake flowers with real plants .Carpet in bedroom needed a shampoo.

Sad and disappointing.

Disliked: Sadly our stay was less than perfect. We were not made aware we had a separate bathroom to our bedroom before arrival. And the breakfast! I don't know where to begin!? We arrived just before 9am and sat down, had to ask for a menu and find the waitress, who really looked like she didn't want to be there. Shortly after 9am a table of 8 sat down. We waited 45 minutes for our breakfast and we were served our food AFTER the table of 8 had received their food. Shocking! The food was covered in oil with the meat sausages pink and not edible. We asked the server if we could have them cooked a bit more which resulted in us being told "their pink because they're fresh". We also asked for our hash browns to be cooked further as they were dripping in oil and mushy. Another 30 minutes later, our food is cold and the server brought out a whole plate of hash browns, which again were not cooked, covered in oil and mushy. We left without eating the cooked breakfast. The breakfast the following day was not any better.
