Nice pub and the food...

Liked: Great place to sit outside in the sun and have a drink.Very good cooked breakfast in the morning.
Disliked: Unfortunately our room was directly above the kitchen, and there didn't seem to be anything in the way of soundproofing. We could hear all the general kitchen noises plus the music the staff were playing and singing along to. No chance of a lie in as the kitchen staff started around 7am on the Sunday morning with loud banging, I can only imagine they were trying to break up something that was frozen. The slatted bed wasn't the greatest and we did wake up with our neck and shoulders aching.

Convenient to meet up with...

Liked: Beautiful old building and the public areas downstairs were comfortable and welcoming. The evening food was good and the service in the bar excellent. The car park was tricky to access and spaces were hard to come by at the weekend. The bedroom we had booked was overpriced and disappointing. The bed was uncomfortable due to a thin, lumpy mattress and the en-suite bathroom badly needed a refurb. The lack of any shower spray meant a plastic jug, provided by staff on request, was needed to wash your hair. Breakfast was generous but some items were overcooked.

Great pub and hotel.

Liked: We have stayed at the hotel many times. The location is ideal for us in Frome. The pub is very comfortable and friendly.
Disliked: Unfortunately the new chef at breakfast had not got to grips with the kitchen, long wait and overcooked, Sure things will improve!!
