Liked: Exceptional breakfast included. Quiet street just west of downtown. Great Mexican restaurant around the corner Taco Diablo.
Disliked: Extra $20 for parking.

I had high hopes for...

Liked: The staff were good all around. The rooms were good-sized and pleasantly appointed. The museum associated with the hotel was a pleasure to view -- an unanticipated bonus!
Disliked: The breakfast was hit or miss. One day they had no bread, potatoes, croissants or bacon. They also ran out of coffee that day (breakfast is served from 8-11am, we arrived at 9:30 and they were already out of almost everything). The breakfast room was understaffed, but they worked hard to do the best with what they had. The food was generally not hot and the eggs had a green color and an odd taste.) We had 2 suites for 4 nights. The AC in one room didn't work and they weren't able to fix it, so we had to switch rooms on the 2nd night. There was a great deal of confusion surrounding the switch and my kids wound up on another floor from me. We had no housekeeping on days 2 and 4 in both rooms. On our 4th and last evening, we came home from a very long and difficult day to find dirty rooms, unmade beds, no clean towels and no toilet paper. The front desk brought supplies up, but we had to make the beds and leave a pile of wet towels and dirty linens in a pile in the hall. We had to call down for toilet paper 3x over the stay (they never brought more than one roll at a time). When I asked for a replenishment of coffee at the front desk I was offered 1 small packet of decaf. There were many little issues like this. It was quite disappointing.

Great place to stay in...

Awesome place in Evanston

Liked: I was one of the first guests when they opened. Awesome place to stay, great value for your money. Spacious, clean units with a washing machine. The included breakfast across the street was very good. The manager was very nice and tried to make my stay comfortable.
Disliked: The breakfast was not available on some days, but I assume it was due to the fact that they had just opened up and it should be fixed by now.
