Liked: The Hotel was a great find. The first impression, based on seeing the outside of the hotel in the pictures, doesn’t do service to just how charming and well appointed the hotel is. The lobby, bar and pool have a great hangout vibe and the rooms are super comfortable. The whole place has been updated from top to bottom and has a very special feel.The staff were great, and very helpful. The restaurant was super stylish and offered a good variety of foods for our family from pool side Nachos and sandwiches to a really tasty entrees like roasted half chicken in a cacciatore sauce.The hotel is not cheep but you get good value for money, and we will remember our time there fondly.FYI, the hotel offers a free shuttle to Universal studios, which made it a super easy to get there and back. Only a five minute drive.

Liked: The feeling of The Garland is like no other - such a wonderful vibe. Clean like nowhere else I’ve ever been and full of friendly staff. Retro and cool, full of heart and history. A real, real treat!
