The staff go beyond and...

Liked: It’s a very stylish hotel full of love and beautiful design
Disliked: The room was noisy, I couldn’t sleep as room upstairs was making creaking noise from the old floor boards. It was so noisy that I had to ask to move. The drains in the shower collect water, I had to stop the shower and wait for the water to go down. Then restart the flower again.

Eclectic decor, but a great...

Liked: Check-in was flawless and the Night Porter in particular couldn't be faulted, he was so friendly, and then was still on shift in the morning and gave great service over Breakfast.
Disliked: The controls for a/c and heating in the room were either broken or so completely confusing that I ended up not being able to get a comfortable temperature (too hot), but I opened a window (not ideal due to road noise) and then closed it again and turned the fan on (finally allowing me to get to sleep). I have a PhD in science and the controls were still baffling to me...

Avoid, save your money

Liked: Honestly, not much great about this place! Essentially every aspect didn't work or was a bit off in some way.
Disliked: Like I said, everything was a bit weird. Wifi didn't work, my 'double bed' was two twins pushed together that kept sliding apart during the night, the wall shook every time someone entered the hotel (which, as you can imagine, happened often), someone started vacuuming at 9am in the morning outside my room, the heating wouldn't turn off so it was a boiler, just all around a rather unpleasant experience. Tried to treat myself with a local spot, lesson learned.

Average B&B hotel and experience...

Liked: Good Location to city centre. Decor was as described on website. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The room had no wardrobe for hanging clothes . There is no air con from what I could see. Expected longer period for breakfast, it closed at 9pm and we were staying from Friday to Saturday. There was also a charge when the website says its free. We did not take up the offer fro those two reasons., Ok if you are there for business, but our visit was social and it was a weekend. The price of the room through booking.com was £159, but not good value for money. It was more like a £120 level.
