The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and located near to the Bath Forum, which is why we chose it.

A good hotel which needs...

Liked: This is a lovely hotel. With great amenities. It's historical and very central. The staff are nice and they try very hard to make your stay memorable Most rooms have heated flooring (if it works) and a free mini bar.
Disliked: It needs constant repairs with plumbing and damp issues. This is the downside to utilizing the thermal waters. It sometimes smells damp and has damp walls in places. The pool needs cleaning and if you look hard enough you can see debris in the bottom and corners. House keeping is to late in the day for us.

Good for what we needed...

Liked: Comfortable rooms and good location in the centre of Bath! Had everything we needed for a weekend stay in the city!
Disliked: The staff weren’t very helpful, it was hard to get an order in the bar and it didn’t feel like they would go above and beyond like in most 5 star hotels. I also didn’t like the limited time to use the spa, it meant that it was over crowded.

Liked: Beautiful Spa Facilities, lovely room and very clean.
Disliked: Breakfast very overpriced. £30pp if booking the day before or £40pp on the day. Long wait for our breakfast over one hour. Poor service at breakfast which let the hotel down.
