Liked: Loved the fridge in the room and the fresh milk every day. The hosts were a lovely couple with lots of knowledge on where to visit and where to eat. Lovely big bed and lots of choice at breakfast time
Disliked: Access to the carpark, it was extremely difficult to get in. It was too hot in the room apart from that it was a lovely place to stay.

The most magnificent location!

Liked: Beautiful Room with a view second to none; hosts were warm and friendly but not intrusive. The breakfast was so tasty and plentiful!
Disliked: Difficult to improve anything - excellent all round.

Liked: the room was spacious, had a kettle, tea bags,coffee,sugar and a bottle of milk so you could make a drink and biscuits , the bed was very comfy, the bathroom was a good size, we had a lovely garden view the breakfast was cooked to order and lovely, you had a choice of things to eat and the view from the guests sitting room is outstanding.The hosts are friendly and took time to talk to you and answer any questions
Disliked: there was nothing we didn't like

Liked: It was in an ideal location. The hosts were very friendly and gave us some excellent recommendations. The property was warm and friendly. The bedroom was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and a nice choice.
Disliked: Love it all!

A very pleasant hideaway, which...

Liked: A warm, friendly welcome from two obliging hosts, quiet comfortable facilities and hearty breakfasts. The views across the valley are, no doubt, inspirational when the weather is clear - which, sadly, it wasn't while I was there!
Disliked: The Gables is not the easiest of places to find, especially since one possible access road is permanently closed to traffic following a landslip. Neither is parking the most convenient; although offroad, private and exclusive, it's about about 50 yards down the narrow hill, which is quite a treck in inclement weather - as it was during my visit! Nevertheless, a small inconvenience for the relatively fit, and those with mobility problems can probably negotiate to park in the small private drive outside the main door.

Disliked: The Gables is reached via a very steep winding road.
