Very good

Liked: The room itself was spacious, tidy and very comfortable. It was easily accessible and the location was beautiful with nearby walks in the peak district on the doorstep. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and it was tasty with good service. The staff were helpful and polite during our stay.
Disliked: The breakfast was quite lacklustre and we had to ask for most things to be topped up on the self service table.

Ideal location, friendly staff and...

Liked: Ideal location, the manager who checked us in was excellent and made us feel welcome. The staff at breakfast were friendly and able to give local advice. The restaurant onsite served nice food.
Disliked: Breakfast was limited, would have been nice to have buffet/continental breakfast or at least a choice of cereals and toast.

Ok but service needs attention

Liked: Good location. Lovely but sometimes disorganised staff.
Disliked: Toilets not clean, lots of items not available on the menu, slow and chaotic service.

Liked: The staff were very friendly but unable to help with our major problem. The food was excellent.
Disliked: We had no hot water for a shower all weekend, we told different members of staff at various times over the weekend but nothing was done. This was made worse because we stayed there to do an endurance event and really needed a shower after finishing.

Disliked: A bit of noise from the room upstairs but we were only staying 1 night so it was ok.
