Fine but beware

Liked: If booked via Booking, one might get a worse room which is what it is. The Elegance Double Room we booked was extremely tight, because more than half the room footage was taken by the bathroom, which was nice but very very cold (stone tile floors and only 1 towel heating rack), we compared it with another hotel with the same room size but in Lahinch. The room did have AC and that worked without constrictions, but the window in our room always had a cold draft. TV and charm in general was nice and cute, room was also tidied up daily no problems there and the staff was very forthcoming with help. Lobby is gorgeous and the location is amazing, breakfast was good too. All in all, we highly recommend booking one of their more modern rooms like the Deluxe Double Room etc. as you might have the bad luck of receiving that elegance double room we had. We were a gay couple, which might be of interest to some reading this review.

Nice staff, bad facilities. Not...

Liked: The majority of people working at the hotel are very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: This is a hotel that tries to be hipster high end but it fails. The infrastructure is just not right. No proper sound insulation, no proper blinds for the sunlight and a very weird smell.Noisy: There is no sound insulation, every time guests were walking in the corridor, I felt like they were walking into my room. I could hear the TV from the room next door. There is a constant background noise from the people shouting on the streets outside. A 4 star hotel in such a location should have better isolation. Weird smell: The room was smelling like glue and perfume. The whole hotel has a very strong smell of perfume, strong to the level of probably being unhealthy.Cold: the bathroom was not heated at all, and the room had a tiny old-school radiator under the window. I requested for an extra heater. At check out, I was asked how was my stay, and I shared by disturbance with the noise, the only response I got was, ‘ah ok’.
