Great long weekend adventure,

Liked: I liked the central location of the hotel walking distance to Downtown Carson City but easy 15 minute driving distance to Lake Tahoe too. The staff also fulfilled my request to get me a room on the top floor, and had their maintenance man respond super quickly when I accidentally locked myself out of my room.
Disliked: That the entry is a smokey casino(will do more of my research going forward on my room though)

Great location, but needs updating

Liked: Staff very personable.Good location, close to downtown, easy 10minute walk
Disliked: Hotels is in the process of being renovated. So unfortunately, Our room was in the old section of the hotel. It’s a bit worn can definitely use a Facelift.Smell of smoke in the casino was overwhelming

Disliked: The toilet was made for a child size. The bathtub did not have a stopper so it would not hold water.

Overall, good for one nights...

Liked: No free breakfast available since there was a Black Bear Diner on the premises. We did get a discount ticket for the restaurant and had breakfast there. Food was good, the restaurant clean and the staff very nice.
Disliked: The overall cleanliness of the room was good with the exception of the carpet. The carpet was filthy, with large stains and one burn mark that looked like some one had dropped an iron on it. We are from California and had forgotten what it was like to go into a casino that allows smoking. The smoke smell hit us like a wall, and since we had to go through the casino to get outside, it was unavoidable. I guess the no-smoking trend in California is one of the good things about the state...even the Casino's on Indian land are smoke free and it's pleasant to be in them.
