Overpriced for quality and service...

Liked: Breakfast doesn’t start early enough for the ferry and we were told they would give us something early or provide takeaway. When we got there they didn’t seem aware of this and said the chef wouldn’t be there. They said they could provide a selection of cold food and some drinks including cereal boxes for the children so they could eat on the ferry. We were given a paper bag at check out but it only had some quite dry soda bread and jam (unfortunately the children don’t like soda bread, a yogurt each and a pot of fruit. No cereal or drinks. Appreciate they couldn’t provide a hot breakfast but given the menu included things like pastries and waffles it would have been nice to have a wider range of food especially the children who only ate the yogurts as the fruit was covered in orange juice that they don’t like. It meant we had to buy food on the ferry which was expensive and given we paid nearly £150 for a basic family room with a breakfast we were told wouldn’t be a problem to provide we felt a bit ripped off. The hairdryer in the room also didn’t work so I couldn’t try my hair and I tried to call the reception to ask for a working one but the phone didn’t work. The entire toilet seat also fell off while I was on the toilet meaning I totally fell off the toilet. I’m pretty small and luckily fit so didn’t really hurt myself but if that had been one of our children or an elderly person it couldn’t have caused quite an injury. The family rooms are not accessible with a pram unless you walk through the function room which was a bit awkward when a function wasn’t quite finished. The rooms are very stuffy but it’s too noisy to open a window. For the money it didn’t feel worth it at all. It was a good location for the ferry but if they can’t provide a proper breakfast at the time needed for the ferry then there should be an option to opt out of breakfast and receive a discounted rate.

It exceeded our expectations.

Liked: Very friendly welcome, lovely ground floor rooms with walk in shower. Very good choices for waitress service breakfast. Hopefully we will be returning. The next hotel we stayed in on our travels was a great disappointment to us after having just stayed with you. Keep up the excellent standard
Disliked: We wished we had been able to stay longer with you, we disliked having to continue our journey

There were 4 of us....

Liked: Room was bright, spacious and clean. Food was excellentWe had no need to go looking for a restaurant.
Disliked: Room was very warm. Heating was on. That said, it was un-seasonably warm weather for April.

Very convenient for Rosslare Harbour

Liked: Great staff. Good breakfast. Lovely room. Nice sea view which was a surprise. All rather spoilt by the smell of cooking oil that pervades.
