Lovely room but too noisy.

Liked: The room was lovely, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Our problem was the noise. We could hear everything in the other bedrooms. A couple staying underneath us were just talking and we could hear every word. Then the couple next door came home and we again could hear every word. Unfortunately this went on until 2am. We came back for drinks at 10.30 and were told the pub was closed.
Disliked: The rooms need to be sound insulated. You can hear everything going on in the other rooms. People staying at the pub should be able to have a drink. 10.30 was very early to close.

Good hotel for the money....

Liked: The arrangement of the hotel and the restaurant.The staff were friendly and attentive.
Disliked: The TV didn’t work.The Bluetooth device in the room didn’t work.

Perfect in every respect

Liked: Perfect location, facilities were fantastic. Everything was perfect. The room was lovely, well equipped and clean. We had cocktails at the Cow Shed which is on site so to speak and stayed for the Sunday roast which was fantastic.
Disliked: Nothing

Passable but not great.

Liked: Room generally was ok
Disliked: The bathroom wasn’t very clean. The room was very warm and due to the location (in the pub garden) we couldn’t have windows open until much later. The coffee machine didn’t work. Breakfast was not part of this booking so a coffee first thing would have been nice. I inadvertently left something in the room and luckily we were still fairly local the following day but I would have expected a call from the hotel which we didn’t get - I’m not sure what they would have done if I had not returned -nothing perhaps. I expected better given the reviews and price paid. We did eat in the restaurant and that was very nice. All the staff members we had contact with were good. The accommodation felt a little bit of a random add on that’s not as well maintained as it could be.

Exceptional

Liked: It was central and having the cocktail bar we could enjoy bpre dinner drinks in the courtyard and have cocktails before retiring for the night treated our daughter and her new husband to a room as well room was very comfortable and bed really lovely bedding and comfy too
Disliked: Small cups were a bit small for the morning cuppa and a bathmat for the shower we used a hand towel so problem sorted
