Felt like I was trapped...

Liked: I have eaten at the hotel previously and the food is good, the staff are friendly. So I decided to try the accommodation. The only good thing about the room was the quality pillows.
Disliked: The room was horrid. No windows (doors opening the common verandah do not count), no aircon, no fridge, no desk, no cups or glasses ... just a bed, old cupboard and ricketty chair. Door locks didn't align properly so you had to force security bolts, wooden door panel was cracked (so hall light shone through). It was a Friday night, and there were heavy rock bands playing downstairs until 10:00pm with perfect sound transmission. I should have expected the shared bathrooms, but hadn't thought that far ahead. The shower was a limp stream with provided little or no hot water. In serious need of a major renovation. I am annoyed at the positive reviewers which suckered me into giving it a go.
