First class all the way. My first stay there was in 1970 ($45/night) - was excellent then and remains the same, if not better. The Tonga room is awesome.
Liked: Everything.
Disliked: Nothing.

A classic hotel in the...
Liked: Hotel is beautiful. Everything felt easy (and often times in SF things are not easy.) Staff were setting up the giant life-sized gingerbread house in the lobby and it smelled wonderful. Nob Hill felt safe and we were treated to a beautiful sunset. We enjoyed our adjoining rooms (7 women staying together for a concert) and we had a great dinner and drinks at the Tonga Room downstairs. I would love to stay here again while in the City.
Disliked: Parking is so darn expensive. We were prepared and our group carpooled, (it was not our first time staying in SF, ) but it is pretty wild how much it is to park your car.

Not as advertised
Liked: Breakfast was good
Disliked: You advertised as "city view." It was not. Only a sliver of city. I have a picture!! The unctuous clerk said it was a "neighborhood view" which is ridiculous. I had paid 100 more for that view, and he gave me no break.

Extremely overpriced for the level...
Disliked: The hotel is overpriced for what it offers — we paid $4,000 for a week, and there was an additional charge of $1,200 after our stay just for one simple room with two bads. Even with the high price, the room included only a bed, and we had to request basic amenities like slippers, a robe, and toothpaste separately. Breakfast costs a minimum of $60 per person, and the minibar is also overpriced — a regular bottle of water is $10. Parking was another surprise: $88 per night, and on some days we were even charged double.

Disappointed
Liked: Central location, nice lobby
Disliked: Took 30 minutes to check in, could hear everything that happened in the room next door, woken at 8h30 by room service, 30$ resort charge, but no resort facilities! Got the feeling the staff thought we should feel privileged to stay there.
