Nice pub/small hotel in great...

Liked: Great location and room was a nice size with a lovely big bathroom (separate bath and shower) Manager and bar staff friendly although lady serving breakfast could be a little bit more friendly
Disliked: Radiator in room wasn’t working as it was a bit chilly in the room Saturday afternoon/evening Tables were breakfast was served were sticky even though they had apparently been cleaned after last guest had left the table. Wouldn’t class tea, coffee and fruit juice a continental breakfast as stated on the menu and when someone asked about fruit and yogurt are just told we aren’t a big enough establishment to cater/stock

choose burgers and full breakfast...

Liked: the four of us stayed for evening meal, two meals were superb, lots of it and presented really well, {Burgers}. very quite disappointed with my pie, it was burnt on the top so couldn't cut it, my husband had linguine, very small portion and burnt garlic slices, he couldn't eat them. So not too happy, told the waiter, he just said sorry. plus no deserts? Although the restaurant was cosy and nice ambience. We used the same room for breakfast, Again, I know its a small business, but the continental breakfast on offer was just rice krispies?, the full breakfast ordered by one of our party was very good. I'm glad it was included in the price of the stay, as I would have been loathe to pay just for a slice of toast which I ended up with.The bedrooms were comfortable, although one bedside lamp was unusual. And the sash window wouldn't stay open.Outside seating is nice to use.Close to Seaton beach, nice walk when weather is good.Must mention all the staff though, they were so friendly and welcoming.
Disliked: choice of continental breakfast. only Rice Krispies? burnt pie and garlic bread.

Very adequate for a short...

Liked: Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, excellent parking, great steak night Thursday.
Disliked: Very noisy bar at night.

Relaxing and friendly hotel with...

Liked: We booked this hotel for our elderly parents last weekend for 2 nights. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Staff very friendly. They would definitely return.

Great stay, great location.

Liked: Gem of a place ideally situated in the town and close to the seafront and local restaurants. Great staff, good bar, warm room, good breakfast with a variety of choices. Very good beer-garden. Would definitely stay again.
Disliked: No evening meals available on the day we stayed at the time of year we stayed (but other restaurants are nearby). Evening meals available on some evenings.
