The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice and roomy. Hotel staff was nice; the location is great!

Disliked: No closets! And the noisy renovations to the hotel. Only one elevator working.

Liked: The Interior design, every time I check into the Evelyn I feel like I’m home! The lobby and the long velvet curtains adds a dramatic flare . The rooms have perfectly placed lighting and art deco features. I absolutely live the heated bathroom tiles especially if you’re visiting NYC during winter.

Liked: Fantastic location. Easily walkable but also very near a subway. Wonderful, helpful staff. Free grab-and-go breakfast was delicious. No problems at all. Would stay here again in the future.

Liked: Staff is extremely accommodating and friendly! The hotel itself is beautiful and I loved the Tusk bar & the cafe next door as well - very convenient! The location is great and central to walk to so many things. Bed and pillows were very comfortable!
Disliked: This is NY but the room was TINY. I travelled solo and still felt cramped in the room. The rooms are very close together & the bed is basically at the foot of the door so you can definitely hear everything that happens in the hallways - people slamming doors, the cleaning staff closing and opening doors. The shower and bathroom are also very small. I would find it difficult to share this room with a partner or friend. Obviously, these are things and factors that the hotel cannot change, but it is just something to think about. I would still recommend this hotel as I liked a lot of other things about it and it is hard to get a perfect hotel in NY that doesn't have outrageous pricing!
