Beautiful stay, would be back!
Liked: The property was beautiful. In Estes Park, you will find it is where the majestic Rocky Mountains served as a breathtaking backdrop. Each morning, I woke up to the crisp mountain air and the stunning view of snow-capped peaks. The serene atmosphere was perfect for relaxation, and I enjoyed leisurely walks along the trails, exploring the natural beauty surrounding the area. In the evenings, I would sit by the cozy fire by the Ember Restaurant, play games and sharing stories with fellow travelers. The sense of community and the warmth of the people I met made the experience unforgettable, and I left with a heart full of cherished memories and a newfound appreciation for the wonders of nature.
Disliked: Many of the amenities were closed during the off-season in the winter months, including the fire pits and outdoor areas. We thought there would be a hot tub available, but we didn’t realize that you have to book a room with one to gain access.

Beautiful Sites, Average hotel
Liked: The updated rooms were great! The front desk staff were so friendly. The rooms and lobby area where very clean.
Disliked: On the website it shows so many activities, and pool. Besides the scenery there was nothing really to do. We found ourselves very board. I was hoping for more and wish that I would have known this before booking. On top of this the spas advertisement in rooms showed different prices, and they would not honer there false advertisement. The spa manager should have handled this differently, if your main customer is your hotel guest then they should have updated prices.I know updates are being made around the resort and maybe the activities advertised online are only in the summer?...but I believe people who are staying while this is happening are getting ripped off. We have stayed at a few places in Estes, and even the cheaper places offered movies, games, snacks, entertainment etc.

Liked: Only thing good about the property is the location at the lake.
Disliked: Unclean, unfriendly staff, over priced, gave the worst room possible even the the reservation was from 2.5 months ahead. Not going back

Disappointed. Would need a few...
Liked: I really want this hotel to be my go-to family getaway - however there were several disappointing things…1. We booked a “lake view ground floor” room, and the sliding glass door view was of rocks/bushes blocking the lake.2. We both booked massages, and passed our newborn between us, and the hotel spa staff gave my husband a hard time for coming back the same day “we have to do more laundry” was the respond when he used a second robe, and I booked a 3:00 pm service, then only had 5 min in the sauna afterwards before I was asked to leave / they closed and told I would have to pay to use the sauna the next day.The ember restaurant was amazing!! Especially the elk entree and bison short rib.I want to come back, but we’d need reassurance of a better experience if we were to book again.
Disliked: A small side disappointment as a mom of an infant, the women’s restroom does not have a changing station near the lobby / we had to go back to the room
