This modern Golf and Country Club Hotel is 4 miles from Marks Hall Gardens and Arboretum and 9 miles from Braintree Shopping Village. The Essex is the perfect place to stay in this beautiful countryside location. Colchester Britain's oldest recorded town is just a 20 minute drive where you can visit the historic Castle and Colchester Zoo. The stylish rooms all include flat-screen TVs free WiFi and have tea and coffee making facilities available. The club offers an 18-hole championship golf course and a 9-hole garden course as well as a driving range. There are also 3 private meeting spaces that can host between 10-180 guests for both conferences Weddings and other special occasions. Great place gor a quiet...

Liked: Lovley warm room ,good bed ,very little noise Staff and facilities excellentGood gym and pool

Leisure club great, Hotel too...

Liked: Was OK, but wasn't topped up enough. The water in tge pot was cold and we had to ask for it to be replenished. The staff were very friendly
Disliked: The pool and spa area were very clean

Disliked: You had to go outside and back inside to get from the facilities to the hotel room

Nice hotel, shame about the...

Liked: Room was clean and spacious. Good range of viewing on the TV. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. Pool, sauna and jacuzzi were good.
Disliked: Restaurant food standards were poor. Not good value for money. Seems to have a problem with flies in the Restaurant area.

Not bad

Liked: nice staff, nice room
Disliked: kettle didn't work1st day stale sausages for breakfast- they smelt2nd day no cook for breakfast but came late which was no good to me, but understand sickness can happy. I can not forgive for stale sausages
