A nice hotel at great...

Liked: The rooms were warm and clean. The restaurant also offers great options.
Disliked: The lighting in the room is something that was not good.

Just what we needed

Liked: Room was lovely and perfect for what we needed. Hotel is right on the sea front and a short walking distance to the centre. I like the phone at reception to be able to call a taxi if needed. Room was cleaned everyday if we wanted to and nothing was to much trouble. Needed a room for 3 adults and not many places have rooms available for 3 adults so this was a great thing for us as a family.

Liked: Very good value and a great breakfast.
Disliked: I like a thin pillow but it’s hard to cater for everyone.

Disliked: I ordered a meal which was not satisfactory. When I complained I didn't even get an apology or an acknowledgement.I pursued it with the staff and was met with an angry exchangeI reported this to the management and received an apology over the phone in my room and the promise of a refundThe following morning I was met by the chef who was really aggressive would not accept anything I saidI never raised my voice and was polite at all timesVery surprised at what seemed to me to be lack of training of the management, and to be verbally attacked by the chef at reception as if he was in charge?? Again no apology from him, just said it must be my taste

Liked: Great lodge and the rooms are spacious, neat and tidy. Location is closer to beach and town centre. Nice sea wave view.The food was great, breakfast was included with the fee. We had a joyful stay.

Liked: Staff very welcoming and very helpful arrived of early morning ferry staff was able to accommodate us early check in which was so nice of then was really nice thing as was struggling from the journey due to my disability
