2nd stay, still disappointing.

Liked: This was our second stay, our first was 2 years ago when I believe they had only just opened and they were experiencing some teething Issues. I wanted to try them again but sadly it isn't nearly as good as so many of the neighbouring hotels.It reminds me of my old university accommodation, the couch is cheap, rock solid and covered in easy wipe material. The bed is pushed into the corner so the person sleeping on the inside needs to slither out awkwardly. It's really giving student vibes. Only harsh overhead lighting in the living area, the options are to sit in the dark, or in the bright light. The bathroom door handle fell off in my hand and I was scared for a few minutes because I couldn't get out of the bathroom until my partner helped my from the other side.They only provide housekeeping every other day, but only provide 1 thin shower towel each and 1 Bathmat to share, we stayed for 2 nights and I had to call reception to ask for some dry towels on the 2nd evening.Either provide thicker, or more, towels if you don't want to clean rooms every day. I also heard a man complaining at reception when we were checking in about a similar thing. It feels like you guys are skrimping. Also just mention it to guests when they are checking in as a courtesy. Same story with water in the rooms, free water bottles on our last stay, now $8 each. Quite steep. They say this is for environmental reasons while they use single use plastic creamers. It's just green washing while charging more.Also $200 security deposit PER NIGHT seems quite steep. Although if you were to tuck into the extortionate snack pile left out on the counter I can see how you'd quickly surpass that amount. This place could be so good if they cut less corners, it's so frustrating to see, and so sad that it's got worse not better in two years.
